Lake Como offers many ways to enjoy a holiday: strolling through the villages overlooking the water, visiting villas and gardens, heading up to a viewpoint or admiring the shores from a boat. Between towns, small villages and footpaths, every day can have its own pace.

Torno and Como: from village to town

Torno invites you to stroll amongst the small harbour, the churches and the streets of the historic centre. It’s a first stop to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace, perhaps alternating your visit with a break by the lake.

Como offers a different experience: the Duomo, the squares in the centre, the shops and the walks along the water make it well worth spending a day in the city. Those wishing to change their perspective can add a trip up the funicular to Brunate.

Bellagio and Varenna

Bellagio and Varenna are two places worth considering for a day out in the centre of the lake. With their charming streets, promenades and views of the water, they offer plenty of opportunities to stop and take in the scenery.

The villas and gardens of Tremezzina

Historic residences are an important part of the Lake Como landscape. Villa Carlotta, in Tremezzina, combines a museum with a large botanical garden: a visit ideal for those who wish to alternate between art and nature.
